Closed Circuit depicts a man-made, tunnel-like landscape that slowly descends deeper and deeper into the guts of our society. Adhering to the speed limits, we travel from one carefully planned space to another. We move slowly but resolutely, quietly and without friction through a landscape so sterile and inhuman that it could only have been made by man. The society we created could have been designed in different ways, for a different speed, serving a different purpose. But we live in this landscape, a landscape where uniform fluorescent lights illuminate an apparently endless tunnel whose echoes lead towards a perfect and perfectly controlled existence. In a closed, blood circulation-like structure, Closed Circuit never begins and never ends, but continues, descends, continues to descend.
